Items for discussion by the lawyers may include the following topics: \nCOVID- contact tracing– How should units handle contract tracing going forward? \nCOVID – mandatory testing and vaccination requirements – Can a district require weekly testing?  Does it violate HIPPA? Who should collect vaccination cards? \nAdministrator liability during COVID-19 – anti/mask and anti/vax parents lawsuits – Are you protected from these types of lawsuits? \nShortened administrative probationary period (CAS legislation) – What does the law state and to whom does it apply? \nNegotiations and contracts– What are the trends and how is inflation impacting negotiations \nAPPR questions and concerns for 21-22 \nIf you plan on attending\, please complete this Google Form.\n\nIf you would like to discuss additional items or issues of concern\, please feel free to add them to the form\, and we will add them to the agenda.  Of course\, if you have any questions\, please call or email Mike or Brad and they will get right back to you. \nWe are looking forward to meeting with all of you and thank you for allowing us to represent you and the members of your organization!

DESCRIPTION:The Empire State Supervisors and Administrators Association (ESSAA)\, the state affiliate of the Council of Administrators and Supervisors (CAS) will be holding their Annual Spring Meeting on Friday\, May 21st\, at 7:00 pm via Zoom. Usually\, the meeting is held somewhere statewide in person. However\, due to the ongoing Covid pandemic\, we will be restricted to a virtual gathering. Because of the current COVID-19 pandemic\, some members are actively thinking about retirement and planning for life post retirement. This year we will offer socially distanced in-person conferences for up to 12 members according to New York State and CDC guidelines.  Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided for all participants. \nIt is never too early to start thinking about retirement and actively planning for it. He was the System’s spokesperson and was responsible for its publications\, website\, and media information. Previously\, he was the Administrator of Pre-retirement Planning where he organized and implemented the System’s retirement planning seminar program\, which is a model for other systems throughout the country. Currently\, Dave is the Administrator of the National Pension Education Association and is a nationally known presenter on retirement planning issues and public employees’ programs. \nWe have received tremendous positive feedback from CAS members who have attended our previous Financial Literacy Workshops.
