The past three months have been busy ones for the Council of Administrators and Supervisors. At its annual CAS Delegate Assembly toward the end of the school year, CAS awarded four $1000.00 scholarships to outstanding graduating seniors. The recipients were: Caitlin Unkenholz, Smithtown High School West, Alissa Pratt, Connetquot High School, Jade Philips, Longwood High School andLeah Ham, Baldwin High School

In July, CAS held its annual golf outing at Baiting Hollow Country Club. Public school administrators from across Long Island participated. The outing was a full day affair including breakfast, a round of golf, a cocktail hour and dinner after which several awards were presented. The North Babylon Administrators’ foursome of Michael Biesiadecki, John Hall, Rich Del Gaudio and Ryan Thomas had the “Lowest Gross Score” of the day and won a CAS Scholarship of $500.00 for their district to be dispersed at the discretion of the unit next June.  The Levittown Administrators’ foursome of Tony Goss, John Zampaglione, Joe Sheehan, and John Avena won two $250 CAS Scholarships for seniors graduating from Levittown in 2018. John Avena won the award for the “Closest to the Pin” shot and Tony Goss won the award for the “Longest Drive” of the day.

The end of July and beginning of August was particularly hectic for CAS.
