I hope all is well with you, your students and your staff. Bob Ungar, our legislative lobbyist, is in Albany doing whatever is necessary to keep our interests in the forefront of legislators.
Although the Legislature is for all practical purposes in session, neither house is formally meeting in session. This has not hampered our work meeting with key legislators to seek additional funding for education and an early retirement incentive, as well as expressing our strong opposition to the so called “Suspension Bill” and the expansion and renewal of Charter Schools without the approval of the New York State Education Department.
