On November 19, 2014, CAS attorney Brad Stuhler was a featured speaker at the Annual ASSET Conference hosted at the West Hampton Beach High School. Suffolk ASSET is a professional organization made up of school district directors of technology charged with safeguarding student data and enhancing teaching and learning in Suffolk County school districts through the use of computers and other educational technologies.  Brad presented on the ever changing and developing topic of, “Safeguarding School District Data, The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and New York Education Law §2-d.”  The conference was well attended and received by those in attendance.  CAS looks forward to continuing to work with and offer assistance on a variety of timely legal and educational issues for our members and their professional associations.
