This workshop is intended for all probationary administrators and /or administrators who may be contemplating accepting a new probationary appointment.
The first part of the workshop will focus on concerns regarding school safety, student discipline and some common workplace pitfalls confronted by new administrators. Attendees will be provided with practical guidance and best practices for common work place scenarios involving students, staff and parents.
The second part of the workshop will delve into the legal aspects of administrative tenure, seniority, and frequent workplace pitfalls confronted by new administrators.
CAS is a certified NYSED Continuing Teacher Leader Education (CTLE) sponsor and successful participants will be granted two (2) hours of CTLE professional development credit applicable toward the hours needed for continuing certification.
All new and probationary administrators are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop.
