CAS is happy to announce that a fifth Long Island administrative unit has elected to join the Council of Administrators and Supervisors (CAS). Please join us in welcoming the administrators from the West Islip UFSD to the CAS family. Over the past two months school administrators from the Valley Stream CHSDEastern Suffolk BOCES,Middle CountryHuntington and nowWest Islip have joined the CAS family!

Please keep in mind when you receive phone calls, emails, etc., during the summer and upcoming school year the hollow promises and representations being made to you are geared toward offsetting significant losses. These units are joining CAS for a reason! In the event you get a call from them take into account why over the past few years so many units have left them to join us with more to follow. The bottom line is CAS, for over 50 years, has remained on Long Island dedicated only to serving the interests of administrators here in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Over the summer you will receive registration information regarding our fall CAS workshops and conferences presented here on Long Island that will be focused on the new APPR regulations. We will also be conducting Long Island workshops targeted to new administrators, unit leaders and financial literacy. When the dates and venues are finalized, we will notify everyone. Know that we are available to assist you with the upcoming negotiations related to the new APPR regulations and our office will remain open all summer. Please feel free to reach out to Brad, Mike, Tony, or me at any time, either in our office at 631-761-5451 or via email atcasinfo@caslongisland.com.  Best wishes for a happy and healthy summer vacation with your family and friends!

Very truly yours,

Skip Albert H. Voorneveld
