On Friday, June 3, ESSAA was honored to have Commissioner, MaryEllen Elia, as its keynote speaker at our annual Administrators of the Year Conference in Saratoga Springs, New York. Before speaking, Commissioner Elia spent time with our guests, and the award recipients in particular.
In her address, Commissioner Elia congratulated the seven regional recipients and ESSAA on their achievements throughout the year. She also spoke about the changes she envisions regarding testing and evaluations and then graciously opened up the floor to questions from the audience. ESSAA again thanks Commissioner Elia for taking time from her busy schedule to be with us.
We then paid tribute to our outgoing President, Bill Evans and elected his successor, Carol Conklin-Spillane. We are very grateful to Bill for his leadership for the past six years and we welcome Carol.
