CAS CTLE Workshop – Make Meetings Meaningful with David Hymowitz

January 24 @ 4:30 pm - 5:45 pm

Self-Care Moments for Memorable Meetings

Learning to take care of oneself is not just something that occurs after work but something that should be incorporated into one’s work life.  Integrating self-care moments into a meeting can change everything. This workshop will explore the connection between stress and health and techniques from our STARR exercises (Stress and Trauma, Active Release and Rewiring) that specifically release stress from one’s physical and mental selves. The techniques can be implemented immediately into practice.

David Hymowitz is a licensed social worker with over 30 years of experience in human services. He has held positions as an educator, program developer, clinician, and support group leader for youth, adults, and families, and in administrative and executive roles.

David is currently the Director of #SameHere Schools and Community Programs.  He has developed SEL Partnerships with numerous Long Island Schools, Libraries, and Community Health Agencies.  Programs include workshops for staff, parents, and students while assisting in the development and integration of wellness and social-emotional learning into the climate of the school districts and organizations.
