The CAS/ESSAA legislation granting a three-year probation period, not four, to tenured administrators, supervisors, etc., who relocate to another district, passed the Senate 55-0 and the Assembly 118-1. Senator Mayer and Assemblyman Benedetto deserve our praise for their leadership in shepherding this legislation through their houses.
Our lobbyist, Bob Ungar kept watch at the Assembly session until after 2 a.m. on Friday morning, June 21st when the legislation was passed.
The Governor has until December 31st to sign legislation passed this year.
