Hackers Using Student Facebook Accounts to Post Threats Against Schools

We are sending this blast to raise awareness of a new scam that hacks student Facebook accounts to post threats against schools.
A Croatian hacker took over the Facebook account of a student and then posted a threat to an “unspecified school.” Changing the password for the account did not stop the hacker; they were still able to access the account and post a threat on Saturday.
The FBI believes the malware attack most likely took place on the student’s phone, though the source of the attack has not been confirmed. The main takeaway: closely monitor social media accounts.
