As a representative of Nassau and Suffolk Counties on the New York State Board of Regents, Regent Thomas-Williams has dedicated her life to working closely with parents, children, and advocating for public education. As a former teacher and school principal who grew up on Long Island, she understands the unique needs and concerns of our communities and is committed to ensuring that our local schools are well represented in the development of statewide educational policies. This informal virtual meet-and-greet will be a fantastic opportunity for you to learn more about Regent Thomas-Williams, her role, and the responsibilities she undertakes as one of New York State’s key educational policymakers. We believe that her insights will be incredibly valuable as we collectively navigate the future of education on Long Island.
